Eyes
Spiders can have two, four, six or eight eyes. Bird spiders always have eight, two daytime eyes and six night eyes. The night eyes have, besides a lens and a retina, also a thin reflecting layer so that they can see in the dark. The eight eyes cover a complete visual range, meaning that they can look behind themselves as well as ahead or sideways.
