Comments: Overall Design:(8) – (1,1,2,4) The sites main focus is presenting the contents to the user, in this case information about spiders, and the dark background should be evaluated for its effectiveness. Dark backgrounds tend to take away from some pictures, mainly darker ones, and the text can be harder to read. Content:(10) – (6,4) I really hate spiders, but it is a fear totally based on ignorance, so it is great to have a comprehensive site that helps to educate on the 8 legged fangs. Functionality:(9) – (6,3) The menu could use improving. Users require the structure or menu (the functional pieces) of the site to remain the same, so that it is easier to journey through the content. Create a frame and retain it throughout the site. Also, normally when sites have a flash intro, it is common for users to start pressing the "Skip Intro" button. Problem is that the computer gets taken with the download and can not escape. Make sure that your flash intro is important to your site, and not just to show your knowledge of flash.
